These terms govern your use of sedonaready.com (the “Site”) and everything offered through it: the free guides, the itinerary builder, and the trail films sold on the Site. The Site is operated by Sedona Ready (“Sedona Ready”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Site, creating an account, or making a purchase, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Site.
In plain terms
- The guides are free to read for your own trip planning. They are not free to copy, republish, or scrape.
- Trails, fees, shuttle routes and closures change. Check official sources before you go and make your own decisions on the ground. You hike at your own risk.
- The itinerary builder is an AI-assisted planning aid. Its suggestions can be wrong. Verify hours, fees and conditions before relying on a plan.
- Trail films are streamed for your personal viewing. A purchase gives you access in your film library; it does not give you a copy to download, share or screen publicly.
- Tours, activities and gear are booked or bought from third parties such as Viator and Amazon under their terms, not ours. We may earn a commission; you pay the same price.
1. Who we are and how to reach us
Sedona Ready is an independent guide to visiting Sedona, Arizona. We are not affiliated with the U.S. Forest Service, the City of Sedona, the Sedona Shuttle, or any tour operator, hotel or retailer mentioned on the Site. Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@sedonaready.com or through our contact page.
2. Using the Site
You may use the Site to plan your own visit, or a visit you are arranging for family and friends. You must be at least 18 years old to make a purchase or create an account, or have the permission of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf.
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, crawl, bulk-download, or otherwise extract the Site’s content by automated means, or use the content to train or fine-tune machine-learning models, without our written permission;
- republish, sell, sublicense or redistribute any part of the Site, including text, photographs, maps, data and films;
- share account credentials, or use a film library that is not yours;
- interfere with the Site’s operation, probe or test its security, or place unreasonable load on it;
- use the Site for anything unlawful, or in a way that infringes anyone else’s rights.
We may suspend or close accounts, and block access to the Site, where we reasonably believe these terms are being broken.
3. Trail information, safety and accuracy
Everything on the Site — distances, elevation, timing, difficulty, parking capacity, fees, shuttle schedules, seasonal notes, and weather and flood information — is provided for general information only. It reflects what we found when we last visited or checked, and pages are dated so you can judge how fresh the answer is. It is not professional advice, and it is not a substitute for your own judgment, for current official information, or for a guide who is with you.
Hiking in the high desert carries real risks: heat, dehydration, exposure, loose rock, flash floods, wildlife, and getting lost. Conditions change by the hour. Before you go, check current information from the Coconino National Forest, the City of Sedona and the National Weather Service, and turn back when a trail is beyond you or your group. You are solely responsible for your safety and for the decisions you make on the trail. Difficulty ratings and timings on the Site are estimates for a typical fit adult; they may not fit you, your group, or the day’s conditions.
Weather forecasts and alerts shown on the Site are relayed from third-party sources (the National Weather Service and Open-Meteo) and can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Never rely on the Site as your only source for flood or severe-weather warnings.
Fees, passes, hours, shuttle routes and closures are set by other organisations and change without notice to us. Where a page and an official sign disagree, the sign wins. If you find something out of date, please tell us.
4. The itinerary builder
The itinerary builder produces a suggested day-by-day plan from the details you enter, using our own guide library together with an AI language model provided by Anthropic. The result is a starting point — not a booking, a reservation, or a promise that anything will be open, available or suitable for you. AI-generated text can contain mistakes, including invented details. Check opening hours, fees, shuttle timing and trail conditions yourself before you rely on a plan.
Plans you save are stored in your browser, or in your account if you are signed in. If you use the share function, anyone with the link can view that plan. We may remove saved or shared plans that are abusive, unlawful or no longer supported, and we may change or withdraw the itinerary builder at any time. The builder is rate-limited so that it stays available for everyone; automated use is not permitted.
5. Trail films: purchases, access and refunds
What you are buying. A trail film purchase gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to stream that film through your film library on the Site for as long as the library is offered. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars at checkout, and any applicable tax is added there. Films are not delivered as downloadable files, and the licence does not include the right to record, copy, download, share, embed or publicly screen a film — for example in a hotel, on a tour vehicle, at a visitor centre or in a class. Licensing for those uses is available: ask us.
Checkout and accounts. Purchases are processed by SureCart, with payments handled by Stripe. An account is created with the email address you use at checkout, and your films are attached to that account; sign in with the same email address to reach them. Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Keeping the library available. We intend to keep the film library running for the long term. Access depends on the Site, our video hosting provider, and your own internet connection and device, so it may be interrupted occasionally for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. If we ever have to retire a film or close the library, we will give at least 30 days’ notice to the email address on your order.
Refunds. Films are streaming digital content that becomes available immediately after purchase, so sales are final once a film has been played, except where the law where you live gives you a right that cannot be excluded. If a film you bought will not play, or you cannot reach your library, write to hello@sedonaready.com from the email address used at checkout within 14 days of purchase; we will fix the problem or refund the purchase to the original payment method. Duplicate purchases made by mistake are refunded on request.
Team accounts. Some purchases can be shared with a small team through an invite link. The team owner decides who joins, may remove members, and is responsible for making sure members use the films only as these terms allow. A member’s access lasts while they remain on the team.
6. Affiliate links and third-party services
Some links on the Site are affiliate links. Tours and activities link to Viator, and some gear and equipment links go to retailers including Amazon. If you book or buy through one of those links, Sedona Ready may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, Sedona Ready earns from qualifying purchases. Commissions never buy a recommendation, a ranking or a mention — see how this site stays honest.
Any booking or purchase you make with a third party is a contract between you and that third party, under its own terms, prices, cancellation rules and privacy policy. We are not a party to it, we do not process those payments, and we are not responsible for the tour, product or service you receive. Please raise problems with a booking directly with the provider first. We are always glad to hear how it went so we can improve our guidance, but we cannot refund or rebook on a provider’s behalf.
The Site also depends on third-party services to work — a content delivery network, our payment and video providers, and embedded content such as YouTube videos and Viator booking widgets. Those services have their own terms, and their availability is outside our control.
7. Corrections, photos and other things you send us
We rely on readers to tell us when a fee has changed, a trail has closed or a shuttle stop has moved. By sending us a correction, a photo, a comment or any other material, you confirm that you have the right to share it, and you give us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, edit and publish it on the Site and in our guides. We will not publish your name unless you ask us to. Please do not send anything confidential, and do not send other people’s personal information without their permission.
8. Our content and your permitted use
Unless stated otherwise, the text, photographs, films, maps, illustrations, data, design and code on the Site belong to Sedona Ready or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. “Sedona Ready” and the Site’s logos are our marks. You may view the Site, print or save pages for your own personal, non-commercial trip planning, and share links to our pages. Any other use — including reproduction, adaptation, redistribution, commercial use, or use in a product, app, dataset or publication — needs our prior written permission. Licensing enquiries for editorial, tourism or educational use are welcome through the contact page.
Trademarks and names of third parties (for example Viator, Amazon, and the operators and businesses we write about) belong to their owners. Mentioning them does not imply endorsement in either direction.
9. Disclaimers
The Site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties or representations, express or implied, about the Site — including that the content is accurate, complete, current or suitable for your purpose; that the Site or the films will be available without interruption or error; or that the Site is free of harmful components. Nothing on the Site is professional, medical, legal or safety advice.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sedona Ready and the people who work on it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profit, enjoyment or opportunity, arising out of or connected with your use of the Site, the itinerary builder, the films, or any trip taken in reliance on them. This includes injury, delay, expense or loss caused by trail conditions, weather, closures, transport, third-party services or inaccurate information. Our total liability to you for all claims arising from the Site or these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or US $50, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations. Where that applies to you, our liability is limited to the smallest extent the law allows, and nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence where the law does not permit that to be excluded.
11. Indemnity
If your breach of these terms, or your misuse of the Site or the films, leads to a claim against us by someone else, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses we incur as a result.
12. Changes and termination
We update guides constantly and may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the Site at any time, including the itinerary builder and the film library (subject to the notice promised in section 5). We may also revise these terms. The date at the top shows when they were last updated; material changes will be flagged on this page, and by email to customers where a change affects purchased films. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the revised terms. Sections that by their nature should survive — including the licence you grant us, our content rights, the disclaimers, the limitation of liability and the dispute terms — continue after any termination.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona and the federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you have a problem, please write to us first — most issues can be sorted out by email within a few days. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, it will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Arizona, and you and we each consent to the jurisdiction of those courts, except that either of us may bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court, and consumers who live elsewhere keep any protection their local law gives them. Any claim must be brought within one year after it arises, where the law allows that limit. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
